CBD Isolate Containers

Why Choose CBD Isolate?

One of the most common questions we get at Mile High Labs is “Why do you only make isolate?” In short, we don’t. To extract CBD isolate, you first must extract full spectrum CBD oil from hemp, then refine it further to achieve the isolated crystalline state. Isolate is the final step of hemp extract’s journey to becoming a pure and compliant consumer ingredient, and we have a thorough understanding of what processes are needed to produce it.

There are some significant reasons for why the vast majority of the product we sell is CBD isolate. With all the arguments for and against isolate floating around, we want to make our case for what we believe is the most consistent and most accessible form of CBD available.

CBD Isolate Testing

“Isolated cannabidiol is CBD in its truest form.”

Isolated cannabidiol is CBD in its truest form. While full-spectrum extracts contain a variety of other plant compounds and cannabinoids, including THC, CBD is the only cannabinoid present in our isolate.

CBD isolate has become the go-to solution for manufacturers concerned with the taste and smell of their end product. Because it’s highly purified, our isolate is odorless and flavorless. Beverage and food manufacturers don’t have to sacrifice the integrity of their products to take advantage of CBD’s added value.

Even with recreational marijuana legalization sweeping the country, THC is still quite the boogeyman. CBD isolate contains absolutely no THC, unlike its full spectrum cousin which contains trace amounts of all other cannabinoids. This guarantee of 0% THC in isolate bolsters consumer confidence and trust. Regular CBD users don’t have to worry about potentially testing positive on a drug screening, and those wanting to experience the benefits of a cannabinoid product without the “high” can rest easy knowing there’s no chance of psychoactive effects.

“…we continue to meet and exceed the standards for cannabidiol products across the world.”

At the moment, CBD is operating within a patchwork of regulations that vary across cities, states and countries. These rules (or lack thereof) become even more convoluted when including the entire spectrum of cannabinoids. By focusing on CBD isolate, Mile High Labs ensures that we continue to meet and exceed the standards for cannabidiol products across the world.

“… more than two-thirds of CBD products purchased online were mislabeled.”

A 2017 study by Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and UPenn School of Medicine found that more than two-thirds of CBD products purchased online were mislabeled. What’s even more concerning is that synthetic cannabinoids have been found in similar CBD products. Dangerous ingredients and misinformation can potentially disguise themselves under the mask of “Full Spectrum.” With isolate, we’re able to accurately determine the exact potency of a single cannabinoid and provide manufacturers and their consumers with transparency and precise measurements of CBD content.

The future of isolated cannabinoids is incredibly hopeful. By refining cannabinoids to their purest form, chemists will be able to reverse engineer extracts and create unique formulations of compounds to suit consumers’ individual needs and desired effects. We look forward to sharing these new discoveries with you in the near future.
